If you have installed your MixWave plugin and it is not showing in Studio One, it has been reported that one of the following may resolve the issue.

Move Plugin to Custom Directory

If you've moved the default VST3 folder to a custom location, the plugin installer will not automatically redirect to that folder. You'll need to manually move the plugin to your custom directory. Check the following default installation locations:

macOS

  • (VST3 and AU): /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins
  • (AAX): HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

Windows

  • (VST3): C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
  • (AAX): C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, you can try either of the following:

Clearing Plugin Cache

MacOS (VST3 & AU formats)

  1. Close Studio One.
  2. Open Finder and navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/PreSonus/Studio One 6/x64/.
  3. Delete the file named PluginBlacklist.settings to clear the blacklist.
  4. Also delete the PlugInScanner.log file to force Studio One to perform a fresh scan of your plugins.
  5. Reopen Studio One.

Windows (VST3 formats)

  1. Close Studio One.
  2. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
  3. Enter C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 6\x64\, then click OK.
  4. Delete the PluginBlacklist.settings file to reset the blacklist.
  5. Delete the PluginScanner.log file to force a fresh plugin scan.
  6. Launch Studio One again.

After clearing these files, Studio One will perform a new scan of all your VST3 and AU plugins on the next startup. This scanning process may take several minutes, depending on how many plugins you have installed.

Reset Plugin Settings

  1. Open Studio One and navigate to the Plugin Manager by going to:
    • Studio One > Options (Windows) or Preferences (macOS).
    • Select Locations > VST Plug-ins.
  2. In the Plugin Manager tab, look for an option to Remove Plugin Settings.
    • This will reset the plugin settings and force Studio One to perform a fresh scan of your plugins.
  3. After doing this, close and reopen Studio One.
