The following provides common troubleshooting steps to resolve potential issues when using MixWave plugins in Universal Audio LUNA.
Plugin Not Showing In LUNA
If a plugin is not showing in LUNA, you may need to either disable the Accelerated Realtime Monitoring (ARM) feature or reset LUNA preferences. These have been commonly reported to resolve this issue.
Disable Accelerated Realtime Monitoring (ARM)
When ARM is enabled, third-party plugins will not appear. You can disable this feature by either of the following:
- Click ARM in the top toolbar located next to the Pre-roll and Post-roll.
- In the mixer window, click the ARM icon located to the left of the first track.
Reset LUNA Preferences
To reset preferences from LUNA, delete the files below from ~/Library .
Folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Universal Audio/workspace/plugin_cache
File: AUPlug-Ins.json
Folder: ~/Library/Preferences
File: com.uaudio.luna.plist
Folder: ~/Library/Preferences/Universal Audio
File: LUNAprefs.json
Once deleted, empty the Trash on your Mac, and restart LUNA.
Note: To access ~/Library (which is hidden by the OS), hold down the Option key on your keyboard while opening the Go menu in the top macOS menu on your screen. While Option is pressed, "Library" becomes visible in the menu and then can be opened.
Plugin Not Working On Record-Enabled Tracks In LUNA
In order to record in real-time with MixWave (and other third-party) plug-ins in LUNA, you'll need to disable Accelerated Realtime Monitoring (ARM) as outlined above. This will allow you to use Audio Unit (AU) plug-ins on record-enabled tracks.
