No Input Signal
If you are not getting any input signal from a standalone plugin, double check the following:
Check Audio Input Settings
Open the Audio Settings in the plugin standalone.
Under the Input Device section, make sure your audio interface is selected.
In the Input Channel dropdown, select only the input your guitar is connected to (for example, Input 1).
Input Gate Setting
If your guitar input is still showing no signal, make sure the Gate control inside the plugin is turned off or set to a low threshold. If the Gate is active, it can mute the input entirely until your signal exceeds its threshold.
Allow Microphone Access
macOS
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
Find the standalone plugin application in the list.
Ensure the checkbox next to it is enabled.
Windows
Open Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
Make sure Microphone access is turned On.
Scroll down and enable Let apps access your microphone and Let desktop apps access your microphone.
Relaunch Standalone Plugin
After confirming the input and microphone permissions:
Close and relaunch the standalone.
Re-select your input and output device if necessary under Audio Settings.
Test your guitar input again.
Standalone Application Crashes on Launch
In the unlikely event that the standalone version crashes upon launch, this can sometimes occur if your operating system is having trouble initializing the selected audio device. Please try the following:
Reset System Audio Configuration
Go to System Settings > Sound.
Set both your Input and Output devices to your computer's built-in options (for example, Internal Speakers and Built-in Microphone).
Relaunch the standalone application.
Reconfigure Audio Devices
If the app launches successfully, return to System Settings > Sound and switch back to your preferred Input and Output devices.
Then, open Settings > Audio Settings inside the Milkman Creamer app and select the same devices there to ensure consistency.
Reinstall the Application
If the issue persists, completely uninstall the plugin by following the steps in our guide: Uninstalling Plugins.
Once uninstalled, download the latest installer from mixwave.com/downloads and reinstall the plugin.
