Legacy Groove Packs
The following instructions apply only to the Thomas Pridgen – Groove Pack and the Tony Royster Jr – Groove Pack.
- Download your Groove Pack using the link included in your order confirmation email.
- Unzip the downloaded file to extract the Groove Pack folder.
- Move the folder to an easily accessible location on your hard drive.
- Drag and drop or import the MIDI files directly into your DAW. Place them on an instrument track with a MixWave library loaded in Kontakt, or use a drum sampler of your choice.
Each “Song” folder includes the original BPM in the title. Set your DAW’s tempo accordingly, and feel free to adjust it as needed.
Installing Groove Packs into the Groove Player
The following instructions apply only to the Sleep Token – II Groove Pack. This pack is formatted for use with the built-in Groove Player in the Sleep Token – II library.
Dragging and dropping MIDI files directly from your operating system (e.g., Finder or File Explorer) will bypass the Groove Player's mapping engine. To ensure correct playback and MIDI mapping, always drag MIDI into your DAW using the Groove Player interface inside Kontakt.
- Download the Groove Pack from the link provided in your order confirmation email.
- Unzip the file to extract the Groove Pack folder.
- Move the entire Groove Pack folder into the following directory:
/Sleep Token – II/MIDI Files
- In Kontakt, open the Groove Player inside the Sleep Token – II library and locate the newly added grooves.
- Use the Groove Player’s built-in drag-and-drop feature to place MIDI clips into your DAW.
