This issue is known to occur with Sonoma 14.4 running on hardware that uses M2 or M3 ARM architecture. It particularly affects plugins protected by iLok/PACE, especially when hosted in DAWs that utilize AU (Audio Units). Other plugin manufacturers have reported similar issues.

Apple has acknowledged this problem, and the fix was included in the Sonoma 14.4.1 update. If you're experiencing this issue, we strongly recommend updating your operating system to macOS 14.4.1 or later or any of the following:

  • Update to macOS 14.4.1 if you haven't done so yet.
  • Run Logic in Rosetta Mode. You can find more information about installing Rosetta on the Apple Support site.
  • If the issue is affecting other DAWs, try using the VST3 versions of your plugins instead.
