What activation options are available?

You can activate MixWave plugin licenses on either a USB iLok Dongle, or iLok Cloud.

Is an iLok USB Dongle required?

No, an iLok USB dongle is not required to activate MixWave plugins.

I don't see the iLok Cloud option as an activation location.

If you do not see the option to activate your license to iLok Cloud, you may not have a cloud session open in iLok License Manager. To start a cloud session, Open the iLok License Manager application, then go to FILE > Open Your Cloud Session. Then you should see iLok Cloud as an available activation.

There are no activation locations available in iLok.

If there are no locations available to activate your plugin in iLok License Manager, you either need to insert an iLok USB Dongle into your computer, or start an iLok Cloud session to see the available authorization locations in the prompt.

I purchased a plugin license but I still have the free trial.

If you activated a trial before purchasing a plugin license and you do not have the full license in your iLok account, you may still need to retrieve your license through the license delivery form. 

"Software Cannot Be Run Because the Activation Experience Thinks the Authorization Was Found, But the Wrapper Could Not Verify It" Error.

If you see the following error when launching a MixWave plugin: “Software cannot be run because the activation experience thinks the authorization was found, but the wrapper could not verify it." This usually points to a temporary issue with the iLok License Manager services on your system. In the unlikely event this happens, the following has been reported to resolve the issue:

  1. Restart your computer. This is the most reliable solution. A full reboot ensures all background iLok services are properly initialized.

  2. Alternatively, restart the iLok License Manager app manually:

    • Open iLok License Manager.

    • Sign in if prompted.

    • Close your iLok Could Session. Go to File > Close Your Cloud Session (If applicable).

    • Quit the app completely.

    • Reopen iLok License Manager.

    • Reopen your iLok Cloud Session. Go to File > Open Your Cloud Session (If applicable).
  3. Make sure you are running the latest version of iLok License Manager.
