If you're experiencing issues with your E Kit hi-hat not being able to trigger the full range of hi-hat articulations in a library, it is likely that your drum module does not support a MIDI CC range of 0-127, while our libraries utilize the full 0-127 MIDI CC range. We've found that this is common with Alesis electronic drum kits.
A workaround for this is using a Kontakt Multi Script to convert the MIDI CC range of your controller.
Adding a Multi Script to Kontakt
- Download the Remap CC Multi Script here .
- Open Kontakt and click the KSP icon located towards the left of the Multi Rack section.
- Towards the bottom left corner of the KSP section, click Edit to open up the Script Editor.
- Copy and paste the entire script from the TXT file you downloaded and click Apply.
Using Remap CC
- Before starting, close your hi-hat by pressing the hi-hat pedal in the down position.
- While keeping your hi-hat closed, click Detect to begin the remap calibration.
- While Detect is engaged, slowly release the hi-hat pedal until they are fully open exercising its full range.
- After the hi-hats are fully open, click the Detect again to stop the detecting process and then click Compress.
