Our drum libraries run within the Kontakt ecosystem and require either the full version of Kontakt or the free Kontakt Player, along with Native Access 2 to manage installation and activation. They can be used standalone or inside a supported DAW (Digital Audio Workstation).

General Requirements

• Native Access 2 

• Kontakt Player (Free) or Kontakt

• Optional: Slate Trigger 2* (Paid)

NOTE: MixWave drum libraries include optional TCI files for use with Slate Trigger. These files require the full (paid) version of Slate Trigger and are not required to use the Kontakt instrument.

Kontakt Plugin Formats

• macOS: Standalone, VST, AU, AAX (64-bit only)

• Windows: Standalone, VST, AAX (64-bit only)

Recommended System Requirements

For the best experience with the latest versions of Kontakt and Native Access:

• macOS: 15 Sequoia (Latest update, Native Apple Silicon & Intel support)

• Windows: 10 or 11 (latest updates installed)

• Kontakt or Kontakt Player: Version 8 or newer

• Native Access 2: Latest version

• RAM: Minimum 4 GB (6 GB recommended for large instruments)

Minimum System Requirements

These are the lowest operating system and software versions that still meet compatibility requirements based on our oldest library versions and current Native Instruments support:

• macOS: 12 Monterey (minimum supported by Native Access 2 and Kontakt 6.5.3+)

• Windows: 10 (latest service pack)

• Kontakt or Kontakt Player: Version 6.5.3 or later

• Native Access 2: Latest version

• RAM: Minimum 4 GB (6 GB recommended for large instruments)

Storage Requirements

• Kontakt Player or Kontakt: ~1 GB

• Native Access 2: ~104 MB (Windows) / ~130 MB (macOS)

• Library content size varies. See each product page  for specific disk space needs.
